Persian manuscript on paper, 9 lines to the page written in Nasta'liq script in black ink, surmounted by an oval portrait of a bearded prince in ink and gouache, outer borders of coloured paper, framed Catalogue Note

This letter to Malik Qasim Mirza, Fath 'Ali Shah's twenty-fourth son, is addressed to nur-e chashm 'The light of my eyes'. Within the letter, the sender points out that the Prince's handwriting has deteriorated and that accompanying the letter, a chukh garment (a woollen garment woven in Mazandaran) was being sent and that a daily report was demanded.
