Summary edit

Description
English: Still for the American film A Lover's Oath (1925) (also released as The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám) from page 16 of the March 30, 1922 Silverscreen. The film was shot in 1922 but was not released until 1925 when its star Ramon Novarro had obtained fame from his role in Ben Hur. As the film is now lost except for a short clip of less than a minute in length, it is not known if this image was in the final film. The film had intertitles based upon verses from the book. The caption of this still in its 1922 publication stated:
"Why, if the Soul can fling the Dust aside
And naked on the air of Heaven ride,
Wer't not a shame - wer't not a shame for him
On this Clay carcass crippled to abide."
