Summary edit
DescriptionA Percheron horse - geograph.org.uk - 1541914.jpg |
English: A Percheron horse One of the team of Dove Percherons which can regularly be seen at local shows, grazing a pasture by the Dove Inn. Percherons were originally bred in the Le Perche region in France. In 1823, a horse named Jean Le Blanc was foaled in Le Perche and all of today's Percheron bloodlines trace directly to this horse. In the early 19th century the French government established a stud at Le Pin for the development of army mounts. |
