English: A U.S. Soldier tries his hand at playing a Taiko drum Jan. 27, 2012, at Camp Itami, Japan, after members of the Japan Self-Defense Force performed on the drums for an assembly of U.S. and Japanese military members as part of a cultural exchange event during Yama Sakura 2012. Yama Sakura is an annual, bilateral command post exercise between the U.S. military and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force that focused on the bilateral and joint planning, coordination and interoperability of ground-based elements of the U.S./Japan security alliance. |
