English: A view of the British attack on Roseau, 6 June 1761. Seven Years War (1756-63).

The British combined operations expedition to Dominica in June 1761 was led by Col. Andrew Rollo, 5th Lord Rollo (1703-65; Brigadier-General in America) who was in command of the troops, and Commodore Sir James Douglas (1703-87; later Admiral Sir James Douglas), Commander-in-Chief at the leeward Islands, in command of four ships of the line and two frigates.

The arrival of the British forces at Roseau on 6 June is shown in this view, with the two frigates in the foreground. The Montague, Sutherland, Belliqueux and Douglas's flag ship the Dublin on the right. The smoke from the firing from the French batteries can be seen on the hillside above Roseau, together with a line of soldiers marching up the hill, with the French encampments to the right.
