  • Photograph of a baby playing with young alligators at the Los Angeles Alligator Farm, ca.1900.
  • The baby sits next to a small manmade pool inside a chicken wire holding pen, grasping a young alligator in his hand. Surrounding the baby, several dozen young alligators can be seen of roughly one foot in length.
  • Beside the manmade pool, two small plants are visible. Two large trees border the sides of the fence, and additional trees can be seen in the background.
