English: A crop of red clover adjacent to Mill Lane near The Carr. Red Clover (Trifolium pratense)

Red clover is native to Europe, western Asia and northwest Africa, and is planted and naturalised in many other regions. Besides being grown as a fodder crop, it is also valued for its use as a so-called green manure crop.

Red clover is the national flower of Denmark and the state flower of Vermont.
