Seb. Nut. primeval god Nu, who was the personification of the greatwatery abyss which existed before all time, and was thesource of all life and movement. Nu is depicted in theform of a bearded man, seated on a tank of water, andwearing the solar disk and the double plumes symbolic ofair. Figures of Seb and Nut, in bronze and porcelain, seatedor standing, are rare, and the only example of a pendantfigure is No. 11,424 (Wall-Case 131, lower shelf;; flat i *8 tiiiki> Egyptian room—wall-case 131.
