Description
English: Shraddha or Pitri Puja is a traditional ritual performed by Hindus in Nepal. It is performed twice a year in a name of deceased ancestor. In this ceremony, it is believed that the deceased ancestors soul will visit their children home for food. This ritual lasts for around 4 hours of reciting Mantra by the Brahmin and Pooja by the performer. It is also done to get blessings from the ancestors.
