| Description |
English: A miller's stone at Kirkmichael Parish Churchyard. This is the inscription on the reverse of this stone 1461315 for Arthur Fulton, a miller at Straiton. The stonemason has mirrored the letter S and sometimes the central stroke of the letter N has also been mirrored. A ligature where the binding of two uprights in letters is formed is evident with the letters H and E in the first line. The inscription reads:-
HER LYS THE CORPS OF ARTHOR FULTON MLER AT NEWMILL OF STRAITON WHO DEPARTED THIS LIF JANUAR 12 1721 AGE 46 AND TWO OF HS CHILDREN |
