A selection of forceps. 1. The straight forceps of Dr Denman. 2. One blade of those recommended by Dr Osborne, differing from fig.1 only in being furnished with a curve edgeways, which gives the points a degree of elevation above the line of th ehandle. 3. The short forceps of Dr Lowder. 4. A second instrument by the same author, of a similar form and size of blade, but with an elongation of the joint, by which they are calculated to unite externally.
