Description
English: A small Dutch (?) three-master by Pocock after Van de Velde
A port-broadside study, slightly abaft the beam, of a small three-masted Dutch vessel, possibly a hoeker. It is strkingly similar to 17th-century drawings by the van de Veldes, and may, from the appearance of the vessel, be copied from a drawing by them rather than direct observation.
