English: Abandoned Football Ground This abandoned football ground was the former home of Haslingden FC then in later years Stand Athletic.
The ground was up for auction in 2004 http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/130/130726_for_sale_football_club_with_turnstile.html and included a run-down two-storey clubhouse complete with viewing balcony, two large changing rooms, function room with licensed lounge and dance floor, a floodlit, overgrown football pitch, an outdoor synthetic training pitch, a stand, ...and one turnstile! The ground never sold and has been left to deteriorate into its present state. |
