Description
Français : Fondée vers 1060 à l'est de la ville par Mathilde de Flandre, épouse de Guillaume le Conquérant qui y est inhumée, l'abbaye bénédictine de la Trinité, avec sa cour d'honneur et son église que l'on devine en arrière-plan, est acquise par la municipalité en 1823 pour y abriter l'Hôtel-Dieu.

Cette fonction d'aide aux nécessiteux perdure jusqu'au milieu des années 1970.

L'ensemble est racheté par la région en 1983, pour en faire son siège.
