Description
Français : L'église de la Trinité date des 12e, 13e, 14e et 15e siècles, tandis que l'ancienne abbaye de la Trinité date des 14e, 16e, 17e et 18e siècles. L'abbaye a été fondée en 1034 Par Geoffroy Martel, comte de Vendôme. Elle comprenait les bâtiments conventuels avec de nombreuses dépendances et des constructions affectées aux usages profanes et aux besoins matériels de la communauté. Au sud de l'église abbatiale se trouvaient cloîtres, réfectoires, chapître, bibliothèque, archives, logements... Le reste de l'abbaye, greniers, habitations des laïques, dépendances diverses, se trouvait en dehors de l'enceinte. Les cloîtres, disparus en partie, avaient été construits au début du 16e siècle. Les bâtiments furent vendus en 1791.
