Description

XUR 290K is a 1972 Bedford VAL 70 with Plaxton Panorama Elite bodywork. This vehicle was acquired by S Maxwell in 2002 following the 40th anniversary of the VAL at BG Event, Cambridge. Since then XUR has been preserved in it's previous operators guise, Abbeyways of Halifax.

This was one of 6 VALS at the first Bedford VAL 50 line-up, held at AEC Centenary on 27th May 2012.

Other Bedford VALS present include CNW155C, VAL 466G, SNT 925H, OOR 320G and OOW 999G - ex-Southern Television Broadcasting Unit was on display, along with working apparatus.
