English: Aberystwyth harbour jetty About 200m long, the jetty protects the harbour in the mouth of the Afon Rheidol from the predominant southwesterly weather. In stormy weather, waves will go over the barrier at high tide though. The hill in the background is Pen Dinas, with a war memorial at the top. The bridge on the left crosses the Afon Ystwyth just before it emerges into the sea together with the Afon Rheidol. |
