Woodblock illustration from a work on 'Chinese' medicine by the 18th century Japanese physician Hara Masakatsu, published in 1807 (4th year of the Bunkwa era). he Heart Envelope channel of hand jueyin is one of the Twelve Channels. It originates at thetianchi(Celestial Pool) point in the chest, and terminates at thezhongchong(Middle Rushing) point at the tip of the middle finger. There are nine acu-moxa locations on this channel on either side of the body, i.e. 18 altogether. For full list of point names, see 'Lettering'. Wellcome Images |
