| Description | In this core biopsy the prominent intra-alveolar growth with papillary projections into the alveoli indicates that this is likely an invasive neoplasm. That this is indeed invasive adenocarcinoma is indicated by the appearance of the mass on the CT scan as well as by a separate small tissue fragment from this specimen showing unequivocal invasive adenocarcinoma.
