Summary edit

Description
English: The rear part of a sectioned Rolls-Royce Turboméca Adour turbofan displayed at the Musée de l’Air in Paris, France. Air flow is from top right to bottom left. The afterburner with its four combustion rings is clearly seen at the center. During cruise flight, no combustion takes place there and the afterburner generates pressure loss without an increase in gas energy.
