Description
English: The Afurdja waterfall is located on the Velvelichay River and is included in the list of “Natural Monuments of Azerbaijan”, protected by the state. The waterfall falls from a cliff about 50 meters high.

Afurja waterfall begins in the mountains and goes into the gorge like a silvery ribbon. Translated into Russian, "Afurja" means a place where water splashes fall. Indeed, the waterfall is very splashing. The gusts of wind in this place are strong, they blow off the jet to the left, then to the right, drops fly in all directions.

The water in the waterfall is clean, the locals even built a water pipe. They say that about ten kilometers from the waterfall, 40 springs gush out of the ground.
