Deutsch: Die Buchen am "Karnickelberg" in Ahaus vermitteln mit ihren Stämmen und Wurzeln bizarre Eindrücke. Der Bereich des Karnickelberges gehörte 2012 zum Landschaftsschutzgebiet LSG-Grossflächiges LSG zwischen Epe, Heek, Ahaus, LSG-3808-009. Nach einer Neugliederung der Landschaftsschutzgebiete in der Region gehört er heute zum LSG Ahauser Aa.
English: Beech trees at the "Karnickelberg" in Ahaus. The Karnickelberg area was in 2012 (when the picture was taken) part of the protected landscape area LSG-Grossflächiges LSG zwischen Epe, Heek, Ahaus, LSG-3808-009. After the protected landscape areas in the region have been restructured, it is now part of LSG Ahauser Aa.
