English: Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Brad Pigage, a Coast Guard Air Station Houston rescue swimmer demonstrates the "thumbs up" signal during a student tour, Sept. 15. Fifth grade students from the Houston Independent School District visited the hangar for a question and answer session, as well as a tour of the facility. Pigage, who recently transferred to Air Station Houston offered one lucky student the opportunity to wear gear similar to what is used during an active search and rescue case. "These kids could be the future guardians of America. I love seeing their faces light up when they have the opportunity to try on the gear. Their facial expressions are priceless," said Pigage. |
