Español: El ajedrez escolar es una excelente oportunidad para aprender el uso de tecnologías y estimular habilidades cognitivas y deportivas. En Arica, Chile, se realizan más de 10 torneos escolares organizados por casi 20 establecimientos educacionales. La iniciativa nació hace más de 8 años y sigue siendo un éxito de convocatoria; en la última edición, que es donde tomé esta imagen, fueron 92 participantes.
Las tecnologías aplicadas en este ámbito van desde la promoción del evento (webs, incripción a través de Internet, publicación de resultados, etc.) hasta la creación y preparación a los torneos. Se utiliza software como Vega, para la generación de las rondas (organiza los encuentros siguiendo un sistema llamado Suizo, en donde los jugadores enfrentan a otros de similares puntajes) y los estudiantes repasan sus partidas gracias a software de análisis, como es el caso de SCID. Este maneja base de datos, comparando millones de posiciones diferentes de las piezas dadas en partidas jugadas en el mundo entero, lo que les provee a técnicos y estudiantes información relacionada a sus propias jugadas, a posibles respuestas o como entrenamiento de futuras participaciones. |
