Noch in den 1960er Jahren die Buchhandlung Walter Woelke, ist in den 70er Jahren der kleine Bau fort an ein Imbiss, zunächst in der DDR schlicht Imbiss "Buffet" genannt, ab 1991 "Alain Snack". Hier wird bis heute die schon immer beliebte, 1979 für den großen Tourist*innenandrang in der Hauptstadt der DDR vorgestellte Ketwurst nach Originalrezept zubereitet, wenn auch nicht mit der Originalbuchstabierung (+/- "t"). English: Sausage Stand "Alain Snack", Schönhauser Allee corner of Dänenstraße, Berlin-Pankow (Prenzlauer Berg). This small structure housed the Walter Woelke book stand in the 1960s. By the 70s it had become a snack shop. During the GDR Period, it bore the unassuming name "Imbiss 'Buffet'" (English: Snackbar "Buffet"), after 1991 "Alain Snack". To the present day the sausage stand offers the perennial favorite Ketwurst true to its time-tested recipe, if not true to its time-tested spelling (+/- "t"). This sausage specialty was introduced in 1979 for the tourists who flocked to the capitol of East Germany. |
