Description
English: The Albemarle Hotel (1896), also known as the Gleason Hotel, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Signage identifying the former hotel occupies the location where builder Michael Gleason operated an adjacent three-story market and lodging house (1889). The market became the Gaslight Restaurant in 1967 and was demolished in 1979.
