| Description |
English: Albert Street This is Albert Street, St Helens. What used to be the Albert Street entrance to Pilkington's (Now Nippon Sheet Glass)Cowley Hill Works is in the middle distance. Houses once lined this street right up to the works entrance and glass workers would pour out along the street every day at shift change over. Now there are abandoned car parks either side of the road and there is no public access. However the factory still produces glass and is serviced via the entrance on College Street. |
