Mr. George LanesPercheron ranch at HighRiver is stocked with about a thousand pure-bred Percherons andis probably the largest pure-bred Percheron ranch in the world.A number of shipments of both mares and stallions have been madeto Great Britain. Purebred Clydesdales are also well established.Breeders of this class of stock are widely distributed over the prov-ince. There are also Shires, Belgians, and a small number of breed-ers of light-legged stock.
