English: Great Auk. This Painting shows extinct Great Auks (Pinguinus impennis) and was made to illustrate one card of a set of 30 collector cards from "Tiere der Urwelt" (Animals of the Prehistoric World). From the series Ia. The set was inscribed 1916. Alca impennis has now been renamed Pinguinus impennis as it is thought to be in a different genus.
