Description The Alden Butler Swift House in the Green Bay Road Historic District, Lake Forest, IL (1925). Swift was the grandson of meatpacking mogul Gustavus Franklin Swift, who founded Swift & Company. Alden joined the company in 1907, was named vice president in 1922, and director in 1930.
