DescriptionAlfred-Grosz - Kežmarok.jpg	Slovenčina: Alfréd Grosz, 1885 - 1973) Pedagóg, geograf, horolezec, historikk, publicista. Pôsobil v Kežmarku ako gymnaziálny profesor. Jeho otec bol spoluzakladateľom UKS a to ovplyvnilo aj jeho orientáciu. Do V. T. za horolezeckým výkonom prichádza po prvý raz ako 16-ročný s cieľom vystúpiť na Jastrabiu vežu. Nepodarilo sa, no vytrvalosť a húževnatosť ho postupne zaradili medzi výrazné osobnosti tatranského horolezectva. Má za sebou viac ako stovku prvovýstupov, variant, druhých a tretích priestupov, z nich je osem zimných. Významná je jeho publikačná činnosť. Spolupracoval na tvorbe horolezeckého sprievodcu Vysokými Tatrami s Gyulom Kamarnickým, neskôr s Januszom Chmielowskim a Witoldom Henrykom Paryskim. Sám napísal publikáciu Vysoké Tatry - Dejiny Karpatského spolku a zbierku tatranských povestí. Knihy vyšli v Nemecku. Publikoval mnohé články v regionálnej a odbornej tlači.
