Deutsch: Alfred-Lion-Steg, hier im Bau im November 2011, Blick von der Tempelhofer Seite zur Roten Insel. Der Alfred-Lion-Steg ist eine Fuß- und Radwegbrücke im Berliner Bezirk Tempelhof-Schöneberg. Die 93,30 Meter lange 2-feldrige Konstruktion aus Stahlrohrfachwerk wurde im November 2012 eröffnet. Sie führt die Hertha-Block-Promenade des gleichfalls neu geschaffenen Ost-West-Grünzugs nördlich des Bahnhofs Südkreuz über die Trassen der Dresdener und Anhalter Bahn und verbindet den Ortsteil Schöneberg von der Roten Insel mit dem Ortsteil Tempelhof am Geschichtsparcours General-Pape-Straße. Benannt ist die Brücke nach Alfred Lion, Mitbegründer des Jazz-Plattenlabels Blue Note.
English: Alfred-Lion-Steg, here in construction in November 2011. The Alfred-Lion-Steg is a pedestrian and cyclists' bridge in Berlins Borough Tempelhof-Schöneberg, Germany. The 93,30 meters long dual-span construction of steel tube was opened in November 2012. It leads the Hertha-Block-Promenade of the also new built Ost-West-Grünzug (german for: east-west-greenbelt) in the north of the railway station Berlin Südkreuz over the lines of the Dresden and Anhalt Railway and connects the district Schöneberg from the Rote Insel (literally, Red Island) with the district Tempelhof at the General-Pape-Straße. The bridge is named after Alfred Lion, co-founder of the jazz record label Blue Note. |
