Description
Deutsch: Eine sogenannte Echtfoto-Ansichtskarte (im Englischen häufig auch abgekürzt RPPC für Real Photo Post Card), aufgenommen durch den Fotografen Alfred Grohs mit dem Untertitel "Herzog und Herzogin von Braunschweig vor dem Rathause bei der Beisetzung des Generals von Emmich". Dieselbe Aufnahme mit einem anderen Bildausschnitt brachte ebenfalls der Verlag von Gustav Liersch & Co. mit derselben fortlaufenden (Bestell-)Nummer 7592 heraus, jedoch mit leicht verändertem Titel "... im Gespräch mit dem Großherzog von Oldenburg". Zu sehen sind im Vordergrund Ernst August von Hannover (III.) Herzog von Braunschweig, Herzog zu Braunschweig und Lüneburg, Prinz von Hannover mit seiner Gemahlin Viktoria Luise, Herzogin zu Braunschweig-Lüneburg, Prinzessin von Hannover, Prinzessin von Großbritannien und Irland auf dem Trammplatz im Gespräch mit Großherzog August II. von Oldenburg (mit Pickelhaube) kurz vor der Beerdigungs-Prozession mit großem Gefolge für den verstorbenen General Otto von Emmich zum Engesohder Friedhof. Die beiden Männer im Hintergrund sind nicht identifiziert.
English: A so-called Real Photo postcard (RPPC), taken by the photographer Alfred Grohs subtitled "Duke and Duchess of Brunswick in front of the town hall at the funeral of General von Emmich". The same image with a different image description was also published by Gustav Liersch & Co. with the same continuous (order) number 7592, but with a slightly altered title "... talking to the Grand Duke of Oldenburg". The photo shows in the foreground Ernst August of Hannover (III.) Duke of Brunswick, Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, Prince of Hannover with his wife Viktoria Luise, Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg, Princess of Hannover, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland on the Tramplatz talking to Grand Duke Augustus II. of Oldenburg (with Pickelhaube) shortly before the funeral procession with a large entourage of the late General Otto von Emmich to Engesohder Friedhof. The two men in the background are unidentified.
