Description |
Español: El retrato representa al almirante José María Diego de León (1827-1887), conde de Belascoain y alcalde de Madrid. Aparece vestido de almirante, con la banda de la Orden de Isabel la Católica y condecoraciones civiles y militares al pecho. Fue hijo del teniente general Diego de León, fusilado en 1841.
Fue diputado a Cortes por Madrid en las legislaturas 1857-1858 y 1864-1865 y durante su mandato como alcalde organizó los Servicios de Incendios y creó la Junta Facultativa Municipal para regularizar los asentamientos. |
