Description
Deutsch: Achill und Diomede. Fragmentierte weißgrundige Kylix des Typus B, Durchmesser 31cm, Höhe des Schalenbeckens 5.5cm. Vom Töpfer Euphronios signiert, dem Pistoxenos-Maler zugeschrieben (John D. Beazley), um 480-470 v. Chr. In den Ruinen der römischen Thermen von Vulci gefunden, 1842 durch Eduard Gerhard für die Antikensammlung erworben. Antikensammlung Berlin im Alten Museum, Inventarnummer F 2282 (CVA Berlin 3).
English: Achill and Diomede. Fragmentary white-ground Kylix of Typus B, diameter 31cm, 5.5cm high except foot. Signed by potter Euphronios, attributed to the Pistoxenos Painter (John D. Beazley), about 480-470 BC. Found in the ruins of the roman thermae of Vulci, 1842 bought by Eduard Gerhard for the Antikensammlung. Antikensammlung Berlin im Alten Museum, Inventarnummer F 2282 (CVA Berlin 3).
