Two firefighters stand in front of the ambulance originally operated by the Galt Hospital.
Ambulance service in Lethbridge was first provided by the Galt Hospital. After public discussion and some complaints, the Fire Department took over the ambulance service in June 1912.
First fire department in Canada to offer combined Fire and Ambulance Service.
