English: The Pennsylvania Avenue branch of Bank of America, located in the historic American Security and Trust Company Building, at 1501 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., in downtown Washington, D.C.


Designed by the architectural firm of York and Sawyer, the former headquarters of the American Security and Trust Company is an example of Classical Revival architecture, coordinating with the adjacent Riggs National Bank. Construction of the American Security and Trust Company Building was completed in 1905. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973; in addition, the building is a contributing property to the Fifteenth Street Financial Historic District and the Lafayette Square Historic District.
