English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Passengers board the McDonnell Douglas DC-7 De Koraalzee (The Coral Sea) of the KLM at Schiphol Airport, after which the airplane departs at midnight to Anchorage in Alaska. During the flight some passengers sleep and children draw. The position of the airplane is determined with special instruments. After the stop over in Anchorage the plane flies over the North Pole to Tokyo. With city and street shots of Tokyo, a.o. babies in the hospital, market vendors, eating-houses, geishas in a restaurant, vagabonds, alcoholics and illuminated advertising.

Passagiers stappen op Schiphol in de McDonnell Douglas DC-7 De Koraalzee van de KLM, waarna het vliegtuig tegen middernacht vertrekt naar Anchorage in Alaska. Tijdens de vlucht slapen sommige passagiers, kinderen tekenen en mbv speciale instrumenten wordt de positie bepaald. Na de tussenstop in Anchorage vliegt het vliegtuig over de Noordpool naar Tokyo. Met straat- en stadsshots van Tokyo, oa baby's in het ziekenhuis, marktkooplui, eethuisjes, geisha's in een restaurant, zwervers, alcoholisten en lichtreclame. |
