English: An Autumnal Stroll An afternoons autumnal stroll near Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire.
335144 : (behind the viewpoint) Previous -- (5 of 27) -- Next (continue ahead) : 335191 This photograph, across fields, was taken from Rowthorne Lane. Ahead the lane continues toward Rowthorne and Glapwell. 20 or so metres behind the viewpoint Rowthorne Lane meets the end of the original drive from Hardwick Hall. The line of trees in the photograph delineates the northern end of the Rowthorne Trail, which is one of a number in the area constructed along the track beds of redundant mineral railways built to service the many collieries that onetime existed in the area. The walk continues along the lane to a point where the hedge meets the line of trees and a signpost directs the route onto a footpath. |
