Description

One of the largest squirrels in the world measuring around 1-1.2 feet long (Head/Body) with a 1.5 feet long tail. They are endemic to India and found in the forests of central and south India.

They are not hard to find in the forests down South, and I had seen them many times. But they are hard to photograph since they are usually in the upper canopy and often scurry into the deeper canopy when sighted. We also had sighted them being preyed upon by the Changeable Hawk Eagle 2 months ago.

Thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated.
