The entrance is most interest-ing: a decided origina!it\ shows in the use andexecution of the details. The pediment, slightlvtoo low for ideal proportions, is embellished withrosettes and modillions on its sofiit, and thepeculiar abacus of the Corinthian cap. with itsflowing curves in plan, is unique. It will benoted that the moldings of the abacus carryacross the door lintel and form a tie between thetwo columns, which otherwise would look ratherloose and unconnected. The clapboarding isuniformly spaced through the whole height ofthe facade and its edge is molded. There are fascia of the cornice has been denticulated andthe faces of the modillions bear a panel with arosette.
