Leaf: 52 by 34cm.

Persian manuscript on paper, 10 lines to the page, written in nasta'liq script in black ink, illuminated tear-from medallion at the top of the page enclosing Fath 'Ali Shah seal impression, laid down on an album page, framed

This firman bestows a hereditary title of safid (wise elder) on a certain Sayyid Mohamed, and includes a final line written by Fath 'Ali Shah himself, confirming his knowledge of the man and his position.
