Description
English: The Anacortes Railway was a narrow-gauge railway that ran 14 blocks in Anacortes, Washington. Handbuilt by Tommy Thompson, it closed in 1999 after his death. As of 2013, its rolling stock is in the Georgetown PowerPlant Museum, Seattle, Washington. The remaining narrow-gauge tracks at left in this image are near the entrance to Altair-Americus Memorial Park (also near the former Great Northern Depot), Anacortes, Washington. The normal-guage track are presumably left over from the Great Northern.
