Description

19th Dynasty Egyptian Limestone Funerary Stele, 1307=1196 BC. This finely carved stele depicts the vault of heaven, below which can be seen the winged sun and two seated jackals, Anpu and Ap-uat. The deceased is shown with raised hands in supplication, facing Osiris, Anubis and Isis. The five lines of Hieroglyphs record a standard offering formula. : Donated by Benjamin Kent in 1969.
