Inhis account of Greece, Pausanias mentions that he saw onefigure of Venus standing on a tortoise, and another upona ram, but he declines to give the reason of the conjunction* PLATE XVI.Is a representation of Siva, taken from Moors Hindu Pan-theony plate xiii.
