English: Sunday October 21, 2012 12:00 p.m. Junior Football game in the Prairie Football Conference (PFC). Canadian Junior Football League teams included Regina and Saskatoon. Saskatoon Hilltops were the home team at Griffiths Stadium in Potash Corp Park located on the grounds of the University of Saskatchewan home to the Saskatoon Huskies football team. . The game concluded at Saskatoon Hilltops 37 - 0 Regina Thunder.
The Hilltops are the PFC champions acquiring their 15th championship trophy at the 36th PFC Championship game. The champion of the PFC final will receive the hosting rights for the Jostens Cup. The Jostens Cup is played between the Ontario Football Conference OC Champion and PFC Champion Teams with the PFC hosting the 2012 Josten's Cup game. The Jostens Cup winner goes on to play the British Columbia Football Conference Champion for the Canadian Bowl Championship Saturday November 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm with the BCFC hosting the game. This play....It is first and ten on the one yard line following the 31 yard catch made by 75 John Trumpy. End of the second quarter. The play is a hand off to 20 Andre Lalonde who takes the ball, and is pushed backwards and falls, the ball is dropped. It is a scramble to see who has it, the Hilltops recover. The refs notice that there is yet one second left on the clock. Second and goal on the one yard line for the Hilltops. Number 20 again receives the ball, Touchdown Hilltops the score is 15-0 in favour of the Hilltops, the convert is good. 16-0 into half time break. Hilltops dominate in PFC final Hilltops crowned PFC Champions Toppers thump Regina 37-0 Saskatoon Hilltops PFC champions once again Hilltops steamroll Thunder in PFC final CJFL: Hilltops win PFC final over provincial rivals |
