Concept screenshot showing an option to allow mass storage access to the smartphone's memory card.

Summary edit

Description
English: This modified screenshot shows options to allow the user to access the memory card (typically MicroSD) through mass storage, optionally with or without write access. Due to interference with the mobile phone's operating system, such options would not be feasible for internal storage, except if the user data was stored on a separate logical partition, as was the case with early mobile phones.
