English: This was the entry of Angadanan Municipality for the Isabela Bambanti Festival 2024. Their Giant Bambanti depicts the legendary figure of a mighty, powerful and strong man, Gavino Guiab.
According to folklores passed down from generation to generation, he single-handedly brought a giant church bell up to the belfry of the Catholic Church with a rope made out of braided cogon grass. He also stood his ground despite being thrown and shot at with spears and arrows with enemies. His strenght resulted to victory. In turn brought absolute peace to the Angadanan. Their scarecrow was made of durable, flexible and resilient bamboo, fulfilling their Municipality's vision as the "Primary Bamboo Hub" in the Cagayan Valley. |
