Description
English: "Buffaloes" found along the Brahmaputra river valley region in Assam represent a unique population persisting and producing in a typical “khunti” system locally developed over the decades. Assamese buffaloes are mainly distributed in the upper, lower and central Brahamputra valley. They use to grazing over the fields near the locality where humans live. Buffaloes in Assam mainly are used for dairy and agricultural help. In Assam during the "Bhogali Bihu" there is a game is played , that is 'Buffalo fight' which is very popular basically in Mid Assam, Morigaon, Nagaon district.
