Miniature of Anne, Duchess of Bedford, praying before St Anne; from BL Add MS 18850, f. 257v (the "Bedford Hours"). She was a daughter of John the Fearless, Duke of Burgundy (1371–1419), and his wife Margaret of Bavaria (1363–1423). Showing her motto: "J'en suis contente" ("I am pleased with it").
